Triad Friction Stay HingesThe Triad friction stay hinge is manufactured from high quality stainless steel, with a robust nylon control pad for improved durability and reliability. These hinges are handed left and right and sold in pairs. They are a high quality product and are sample tested in the factory, with 20000 operations, and comply with all BSI test requirements. They are available in the following sizes:

Fitting: All the hinges have a top fixing hole which is common to all stainless steel friction stay hinges. It is a relatively simple operation to change them. Make sure the top fixing hole in the hinge is fixed in the same fixing used for the old hinge. This will ensure the hinge is in the correct position on the opening.

Fire Escape HingesThe fire escape hinges are designed to maximise the open aperture size for escape in case of fire etc. They are available only in side hung in 12" or 16"

Easy Clean Fire Escape HingesAs the fire escape hinge is designed to keep the opening casement against the hinged side, it is not possible to clean the window by placing your hand between the frame and the casement as in the normal type of hinge. The EASY CLEAN hinge has the advantage of the fire escape hinge, but by operating a lever on the two hinges, the window can slide to the opposite end of the hinge track, giving easy access to the outside of the window. 12 inch Restrictor HingeThis allows the window to only open a small amount initially, but by pressing a button on the hinge it can be opened fully. These are easy to fit as they have the same top fixing holes as all existing friction stay hinges, and designed to be a straight replacement. Available in 12" only

Door RestrictorThis is a device that fits into a groove common to all UPVC doors (called the EVRO groove), situated on the top of the door leaf. It has a sliding adjustable shoe which acts as a damper on the door movement, and a stop which stops the door at a position selected during fitting. (90 degrees is the normal). A spring loaded catch allows the restirctor arm to be disconnected and allows the door to swing back fully. These are for outward opening doors - particularly on conservatories.
